From March 27-29, 2026, NDP staffers and delegates will descend upon Winnipeg for the party’s 2026 Convention. Clad in numerous tweeds, elbow-pads on high, they will engage in three days of debate, resolution votes, speeches and networking. The final day of the convention will culminate in the election of our new party leader, bringing us into an electrifying new era in this party’s history. And you can be a part of it!
The Victoria NDP Electoral District Association has been alloted space for up to 19 delegates from our riding to present and vote on resolutions and take part in the festivities of the 2026 NDP Convention. As we are in a post-election year, we are unfortunately not able to financially support any additional delegates to the convention at this time, and ask that delegation applicants be prepared to cover the costs of their own travel, accomodations and food. Delegates have the choice to stay in discounted rooms at a variety of hotels near the convention. More details can be found on the NDP website here.
The Victoria NDP EDA Board would be happy to help link up selected applicants to share hotel rooms and facilitate travel plans and itineraries.
Important dates:
The delegate application submission deadline is 11:59pm on January 21st, 2026.
Delegate selections will occur on January 8th, 2026 and January 22nd, 2026.
Convention registration for selected applicants will close on January 27, 2026. Please be prepared to book your travel and accomodations shortly after being notified of selection, if possible, to get the best available rates and ensure that all delegate slots are able to be used.
Applicant Qualifications:
Applicants to the delegation must be members of the Victoria NDP Electoral District Association in good standing at the time of submitting their application. To check if you are a member in good standing, please email membership@ndp.ca.
